elivering exceptional service to you and your loved ones is more than just a matter of meeting expectations. It’s about doing what it takes to exceed them, and doing so consistently.

That may seem like a pretty lofty goal, but with each patient encounter, employees like emergency department lead nurse Jane Peterson, RN, help make Sonora Regional Medical Center an ex-cellent place to receive care.

From the moment she walks into a room, Jane introduces herself to patients and explains her expertise, letting our patients know they’re in good hands.

And she doesn’t stop there. She pulls up a chair and asks about any concerns they might have and if she can help in any way. Jane genuinely cares, and her compassion shines through.

A hospital is a healing environment. We promote healing through excellent clinical care as well as attentive, personal-ized service. From housekeepers to the nurses and doctors at your bedside, the focus is on reducing anxiety and keeping you an informed partner in your care. That’s why you’ll also receive a thorough explanation of what to expect during your test or procedure and how long it will take.

We’ve also chosen to put in place evidence-based management practices as part of a campaign to transform the Med-ical Center’s culture. For example, nurses visit patient rooms hourly to check on patients’ comfort and care needs. Such diligence on the part of our nurses helps patients feel better and heal better. As an added measure of assurance, nurse leaders also stop by patient rooms each day. In the near future, every patient will receive a phone call within 48 hours of leaving the hospital. Nurses will follow up to answer any additional questions about discharge instructions and to ask, “How are you feeling today?” Thank you for allowing us to be partners in your healing process. It’s our pleasure to provide the environment in which that healing occurs.

We’re working together to make Sonora Regional Medical Center an excellent place to receive care, practice medicine and work. That’s our vision.

Blessings,

JEFF ELLER, CEO, SONORA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
